## Description

Za’kiyah House is a community-led nonprofit organization serving the Pittsburgh area. Its work focuses on reducing homelessness, recidivism, and addiction through caring relationships, holistic community support, and practical tools that help people pursue greater freedom and stability. The organization offers supportive housing through two residences, located in Homewood, Pittsburgh, and North Braddock, Pennsylvania. These homes support people returning to the community after incarceration and individuals seeking help with addiction recovery after rehabilitation. Za’kiyah House also runs Come Heal With Me, a support group for people grieving a loved one lost to gun violence. The group provides a safe, nonjudgmental space for participants to connect and heal. Through community outreach, the organization hosts recovery events and helps people access available local services. Its programs respond to the needs and challenges of the community, bringing housing, peer support, and connections to resources together. Za’kiyah House invites community members to join its efforts and offers phone contacts for intake and emergencies.
