## Description

Zion Christian Church (ZCC) stands as one of the oldest independent African churches in Zimbabwe, rooted in a rich history that began in 1913 with its founder, Reverend Samuel Mutendi. Following a spiritual awakening while serving as a policeman, Rev. Mutendi dedicated his life to Christian ministry, championing faith healing and the fight against illness and poverty. Under the leadership of his son, Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi, ZCC has expanded significantly, establishing parishes across Zimbabwe and abroad.

ZCC offers a vibrant community anchored in biblical teachings, with a commitment to spiritual empowerment and social upliftment. The church places a strong emphasis on education, having built numerous schools that have successfully educated thousands of graduates. Additionally, ZCC conducts annual pilgrimages to Israel, fostering a deeper connection to faith. Through its initiatives, ZCC not only addresses spiritual needs but also promotes community development and resilience, making a lasting impact on the lives of families in need.
