## Description

Zeitgeist Irland 24 was a year-long celebration of contemporary Irish arts and culture presented across Germany throughout 2024. An initiative of Culture Ireland and the Embassy of Ireland in Germany, it aimed to raise the profile of Irish arts and introduce German audiences to the richness and diversity of a changing Ireland. Its programme featured more than 400 events in over 100 towns and cities, showcasing a new generation of Irish artists and creative work. Activities included live events and a podcast series by Neil Hoare, in which participating artists discussed creativity, craft and imagination. The initiative brought together artists, presenters, audiences, institutional partners and media partners, while promotional support came from Entdecke Irland and Tourism Ireland. According to the organizers, the programme reached millions of people and forged thousands of new connections. Zeitgeist Irland 24 was a time-limited cultural programme rather than an ongoing service, and its organizers expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to its success and anticipated positive outcomes in the years ahead.
