## Description

Zen’s Kitchen is a small, family-run plant-based café in Murchison, in New Zealand’s South Island. Founded by owner and chef Zen, the business began in 2016 in a converted 1969 caravan and now welcomes locals and travellers to its converted shipping-container venue. Zen brings more than 25 years of professional cooking experience, shaped by work in the Czech Republic, Edinburgh and Wellington.

The café serves nourishing, made-from-scratch plant-based food, prepared with organic ingredients where possible and a focus on quality, health, sustainability and community. Its menu changes seasonally, and customers can follow Zen’s Kitchen on Instagram for daily specials. The kitchen describes its food as real, delicious and nutritious, with dishes crafted with care.

Located at 38 Waller Street, Zen’s Kitchen is open on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; it is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Customers can contact the café by phone or email for enquiries and visit to enjoy its homemade meals and treats.
