# zERC20

- **Website:** <https://zerc20.io>
- **Primary alias:** `zerc20.io`

## Description

It aims to make private digital-asset transfers as straightforward as sending regular ERC-20 tokens, using familiar wallets such as MetaMask without special apps or dedicated wallets. Built around EIP-7503, also known as zkWormhole, zERC20 uses zero-knowledge proofs and related verification mechanisms to let recipients claim equivalent tokens while helping obscure the link between sender and recipient.

The project is designed to work across EVM networks, with support described for Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, and Base; its site also highlights cross-rollup transfers and reports zJPYC deployments on Kaia and Polygon. Its privacy infrastructure is intended for everyday token transfers, including stablecoins and Japanese yen-linked tokens. The site provides product features, technical explanations, a paper, documentation, integration resources, FAQs, and practical privacy guidance. Unlike INTMAX’s protocol, which focuses on vertical scaling, zERC20 is positioned to operate on existing networks, emphasizing wallet compatibility and user experience.
