## Description

Zero Waste BCN is a Barcelona-based initiative focused on reducing food waste and the generation of rubbish by helping people and organisations put more sustainable practices into action. Its work combines inclusive, participatory activities with community-based artistic creation, making environmental learning practical and accessible to different audiences.

The initiative offers talks that encourage debate and critical awareness of current environmental issues, while giving participants tools to make informed choices. Its courses and workshops invite people to prepare a product or recipe and explore zero-waste approaches through hands-on learning. Topics include plant-based cooking, natural cosmetics, traditional remedies, ethnobotany, and making use of materials that might otherwise be discarded. Activities are held in Barcelona and across Catalonia.

Zero Waste BCN also provides guidance and consulting for businesses, educational centres, and public-sector organisations seeking to move towards a zero-waste way of working. Its website shares an activity agenda, videos, and blog articles covering sustainability, inclusion, and community life, as well as updates through a newsletter.
