## Description

The Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) is an international conservation organization founded in 1858, working with local teams, protected-area authorities, communities, and trusted partners to protect wilderness and biodiversity. Its programs span four continents and focus on important natural landscapes, including the Amazon rainforest, the Serengeti, Kazakhstan’s steppes, and Sumatra’s forests. FZS supports the long-term management of national parks and protected areas through wildlife monitoring, field stations, vehicles, scientific research, and practical conservation work. It also collaborates with local communities on land-use planning and sustainable livelihood opportunities that help safeguard habitats. Across its programs, the organization works to conserve threatened species and ecosystems, strengthen protected areas, and restore wildlife populations. Its work contributes to the global goal of protecting 30 percent of the planet by 2030. FZS offers several ways for people to support its mission, including donations, ongoing sponsorship as a Wildlife Guardian, and membership. Supporters can contribute to a specific conservation program or make an unrestricted gift for conservation priorities.
