## Description

The Catholic Church in the Canton of Zurich is a regional church community bringing together Catholics from around 150 countries. It presents faith as a living part of contemporary society and offers opportunities to explore what being Catholic means today. Through parishes, church institutions and local communities, the organisation supports worship, spiritual life and connection among people across the canton.

Its work extends beyond religious services to social, cultural and educational engagement. The church shares news and information about its activities, provides events and continuing education, and promotes dialogue on topics including religious freedom, peace, music, inclusion and sustainability. Its social and pastoral offerings aim to support people in the canton, while parishes and institutions create spaces for participation and community.

The organisation also addresses safeguarding, stating a zero-tolerance approach to abuse and sexual misconduct. It works to make church life accessible, including through training on barrier-free communication, and encourages collaboration among parishes, congregations, staff and volunteers.
