## Description

Zicrona is the French association of heteropterists, bringing together people interested in the study and conservation of true bugs and their habitats. Its work focuses mainly on France and neighboring countries, and it welcomes enthusiasts who want to learn more about these insects and support their conservation.

The association provides educational and scientific resources, including a list of heteropteran species recorded in France, recommended bibliographies, and guidance for studying true bugs. Its website also introduces visitors to heteropterans and shares news about research and association activities. Recent updates have covered taxonomic findings, media appearances, and changes to the association’s leadership.

A key part of Zicrona’s community life is its annual gathering, known as the “Rencontres punaises.” Held since 2004, these meetings bring together people passionate about heteropterans. With information on more than 1,360 species in France, Zicrona serves as a resource for enthusiasts seeking knowledge, reference materials, and opportunities to connect with others interested in these insects.
