## Description

ZIPpole is a road-safety brand focused on reducing the consequences of vehicle collisions with roadside infrastructure. Its passive-safety columns are designed to absorb impact energy rather than stop a vehicle abruptly. On impact, a ZIPpole’s strong conical form deforms into a flexible metal ribbon, allowing the column to yield and helping slow the vehicle. The company presents this approach as a way to create more forgiving roadsides and protect road users from severe injury.

ZIPpole offers energy-absorbing columns, also described as impact-absorbing poles, and provides information about their compliance, crash performance and practical use. The columns are CE marked and described as conforming to EN40, EN12899 and EN12767. The website also features product details, crash tests, customer experiences, a gallery, news and research, helping visitors learn about the technology and its role in traffic safety. ZIPpole’s stated mission aligns with broader road-safety efforts, including safer road design alongside driver education and safer vehicles.
