## Description

Zombie Mod is a community-driven infection game mod for Counter-Strike 2, carrying forward the fast, chaotic survival-horror style of classic Counter-Strike: Source Zombie Mod and Zombie Escape. In each asymmetrical round, a small number of players become infected while the remaining humans search for defensible positions, build barricades and coordinate to survive. Zombies grow faster and tougher, returning with unlimited lives to overwhelm the human team. The result combines teamwork, pressure and unpredictable last stands.

Rebuilt for the CS2 engine, Zombie Mod aims to preserve the feel of its Source-era inspiration while addressing game-specific issues where possible, including problems with water and triggers. The open-source project provides configurable infection rules, player classes, movement, health scaling and knockback through ConVars and configuration files. Server administrators can install the plugin with MetaMod and supporting tools, then tailor settings and maps for their communities. The site offers downloads, documentation, community forums and server listings, as well as updates from the developer. Zombie Mod is not affiliated with Valve or Counter-Strike.
