# Zorgatelier De Polder - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `zorgatelierdepolder.nl` ## Description Zorgatelier De Polder is an art workshop in Waalwijk, the Netherlands, offering creative support for people with acquired brain injury (NAH). Founded in 2013, it is led by Jannie Leijten, a creative supervisor and visual artist with extensive experience in NAH care, and Bo Corstjens, a neurology nurse. Together, they guide participants in exploring artistic projects, developing skills and discovering talents in a safe, low-stimulation environment. The atelier offers individual and group activities using materials such as paper, cardboard, paint, clay, wood, wool, plastic and glass. Participants can work at their own pace on personal creations or shared assignments, with support tailored to their needs. Facilities include a general studio, glass atelier, woodworking space, rest room, washroom, kitchen area and garden. Coffee, tea, lunch and materials are included during the day. Zorgatelier De Polder welcomes participants through several Dutch care-funding arrangements, including WMO, care in kind and personal budgets.
