## Description

Zorgboerderij & Praktijk Minous is a small specialist care farm in Nieuwe Pekela, the Netherlands, offering individual support in a calm, rural setting. Established in 2015, it works with young people and adults who have intellectual disabilities or psychological and social support needs, including autism-spectrum conditions, acquired brain injury, burnout and trauma-related difficulties. Care is tailored to each participant, with one-to-one guidance rather than group support, and an emphasis on safety, stability and personal development.

Daily activities connect participants with nature and animal care. They can help look after horses, chickens, rabbits, miniature pigs, cats, goats and dogs, as well as take on garden, stable and farm-maintenance tasks. The farm also offers outdoor activities and outings. Horses play a central role in its approach, and supervised riding may be available. Minous provides individual guidance, support with schoolwork and practical VMBO education, alongside services including mindfulness, stress expertise and EMDR therapy.
