The project brings together research, models and practical examples to help people engage respectfully across differences, address conflict and sustain an open democratic society. Its content is organized around three themes: the groups involved in dialogue, the subjects that can create a starting point for conversation, and the communication strategies that help people express their views while remaining open to discussion. The platform explores how to reach people who feel alienated by increasingly polarized public debate, and how shared or differing values, historical events and role models can foster understanding. It also offers information on communication models, social groups and values, alongside introductory resources and concise explainers. These materials are available to read, hear or watch, and are intended for people seeking both an initial overview and practical guidance for difficult conversations.
