## Description

Zeilvereniging Oosterplas (ZVO) is a watersports club in Den Bosch, founded in 1967 by local parents enthusiastic about sailing. Located on the Oosterplas, the association welcomes children and adults to learn, practise and enjoy sailing and windsurfing in a friendly, safety-conscious setting. ZVO is affiliated with the Watersportverbond and offers recognised CWO sailing courses, including youth instruction from age eight, with levels from beginner to advanced. Lessons use boats such as the Optimist, Pico and Laser. The club also provides windsurfing lessons for children and adults, group sessions by request, masterclasses and opportunities for free sailing or surfing for course participants. Its activities extend beyond summer watersports: members and visitors can take part in winter cold-water swimming, with regular sessions and an information and registration event. ZVO organises races, social events and other activities, including programmes for young people, and invites members to contribute to club and grounds maintenance. The association’s clubhouse, events calendar and membership programme help bring the local watersports community together throughout the year.
