## Description

Zwanger aan Zee is a pregnancy and parenting education and coaching practice based in Katwijk, on the Dutch coast. Led by midwife Carola Kamphues, who has worked in maternity care since 1994, the practice draws on decades of experience supporting parents through pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. Its courses aim to provide clear, realistic preparation, helping expectant parents feel more confident, understand their choices and reduce anxiety about childbirth.

Offerings include a concise group childbirth course in Katwijk and Leiden, private sessions tailored to individual circumstances, and an online childbirth course. Zwanger aan Zee also provides a childbirth course with Arabic-language support and accessible Dutch, as well as parenting courses focused on the first 1,000 days of a child’s life. A 1,000 Days coaching service offers information and support during pregnancy and after the baby arrives. For new mothers facing challenges with parenting or their wellbeing, the practice offers a free Mama consultation, supported by the municipality of Katwijk.
