About
Description
YPDDF (Youth with Physical Disability Development Forum) is an indigenous not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people with physical disabilities. Founded in 2002 and officially registered in 2005, YPDDF focuses on advocating for the rights of youth and children with physical disabilities, promoting their skills and capacity to become champions of their own human rights. The organization recognizes that limited accessibility to infrastructure denies these individuals access to essential services and contributes to unemployment, discrimination, and exclusion. YPDDF aims to address these challenges by working towards improved socio-economic wellbeing for youth and children with disabilities in Wakiso and Mukono districts. Through their General Assembly, Board of Directors, and Secretariat, YPDDF provides strategic leadership, implements projects, and ensures accountability and transparency. Their core values, including integrity, collaboration, and teamwork, guide their decision-making and actions. YPDDF actively fosters partnerships with national disabled people's organizations, human rights organizations, and government departments to mainstream the needs and interests of youth with disabilities in developmental activities.
