District 57 Education Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the education of students in District 57. Governed by a trustee board of Mount Prospect community members, the Foundation was established in 1998 by a dedicated group of parents and community leaders. While their initial fundraising effort involved selling candy at a carnival, the Foundation has since expanded its scope.

Their mission remains focused on generating and allocating resources through partnerships with businesses, the local community, school administration, teachers, parents, students, and alumni. The Foundation has three main goals: curriculum support, technology, and wellness. They allocate resources to support the established curriculum, helping teachers enhance the learning experience in classrooms.

Additionally, they support the District's Technology Strategic Plan, providing students and staff with the necessary technological tools and skills for the future. The Foundation also plays a role in creating a healthy and safe environment for students, promoting their nutritional, physical, and academic well-being. The Foundation recruits new members annually, ensuring a continuous fundraising effort.

They welcome new members and encourage parents with questions or an interest in joining to reach out. The 2022-2023 board comprises community members and a school board liaison, all dedicated to furthering the Foundation's mission.
