The ACLU of Idaho is a non-partisan, non-profit organization located in Boise, Idaho. As an independent entity and a local affiliate to the national American Civil Liberties Union, our mission is to preserve and enhance civil liberties and civil rights. We work tirelessly to advocate for these principles through legal, legislative, and public education programs.

With the support of our dedicated volunteers, we strive to advance the ACLU's goals of liberty and justice for all. Our statewide Board of Directors sets policy, raises funds, and provides legal and fiduciary oversight. We have 10 committed employees and a growing community of members, interns, and volunteers.

We firmly believe in the fundamental rights of freedom of press, speech, assembly, and religion, as well as the rights to due process, equal protection, and privacy. Our activities include litigation, education, and lobbying to advance civil liberties and civil rights. Join us in our mission to protect and uphold the rights and freedoms of all individuals.
