About

Description

African Science Academy (ASA) is Africa's first STEM academy exclusively for academically gifted girls. It is a part of African Gifted Foundation (AGF), which was established in 2010 by Tom Ilube CBE to provide opportunities for gifted young women across Africa, with a specific focus on STEM subjects. Initially, AGF organized Summer Academies in Uganda and Ghana, where over 200 students from 50 different schools across 12 African countries were taught by leading lecturers from the UK, USA, and Africa.

The success of these summer schools led to the establishment of ASA in 2016. ASA offers a rigorous curriculum in science and mathematics, equipping young women with the skills and knowledge to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. ASA aims to inspire and unleash the next generation of female scientists and engineers to drive Africa's development.

By supporting ASA, you can contribute to the advancement of STEM education for girls in Africa and make a positive impact on the continent's future. Join ASA as a friend, make a single gift, or get involved in their programs. Your support can help shape the future of African women in STEM
