Description
The AIM Institute is a non-profit organization that aims to grow a strong and diverse tech community through education, career development, and outreach. With over 25 years of experience, AIM has been instrumental in fostering the growth of the Omaha area's tech sector. Their mission is to create a thriving community where anyone can pursue a rewarding tech career.
To achieve this, AIM offers a wide range of programs and services. They provide tech training and technical courses through AIM Code School and Southwest Iowa Free Technical Training (SWIFTT). They also offer custom training for businesses and organizations, as well as specialized academies like the Emerging Tech Leaders Academy and Business Skills Academy.
AIM is committed to addressing the gender and racial gaps in the tech field by recruiting women and minority students, awarding scholarships, and supporting at-risk students to graduate high school. By developing, growing, and retaining local tech talent, AIM contributes to economic development and the success of area companies and entrepreneurs. With their strong focus on education and inclusivity, AIM is working towards building a thriving and diverse tech community.
