CanCode Communities | Albany NY is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was founded as Albany Can Code in 2016. Our mission is to develop non-traditional talent and advocate for a vibrant, inclusive tech talent pipeline. We offer a range of programs and services to help individuals acquire the necessary computer skills and training for successful tech careers.

We design and deliver workforce training courses that are aligned with the needs of employers, educators, and the community in general. Additionally, we provide hands-on K-12 coding programs and basic computer training workshops. Our goal is to shift mindsets about who can work in technology, remove cultural and economic barriers to joining the tech workforce, and establish pathways to tech careers throughout the region.

As a brand, we are committed to unleashing potential, creating opportunities, and building communities. We have partnered with various organizations, including the City University of New York (CUNY), to deliver coding education and training.
