Ammonia Energy Association (AEA) is a global non-profit industry association dedicated to promoting the responsible and sustainable use of ammonia in the energy sector. With a mission to accelerate the decarbonization of ammonia and encourage the adoption of low-carbon alternatives, AEA focuses on both existing and new applications of ammonia. Existing applications span various industries, including fertilizers, chemicals, explosives, and industrial processes.

In addition, AEA is leading efforts to explore new applications, such as using ammonia as a fuel for electric power generation, maritime transport, and as a hydrogen carrier. By advocating for a carbon-free energy commodity, AEA aims to contribute to a more sustainable and cleaner energy economy. Established in 2004, AEA currently boasts a membership of 165 corporations worldwide.
