About
Description
The Arizona Watercolor Association (AWA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1960 by professional watercolor artists and instructors. Their mission is to promote and advance the art of painting in water-soluble media and cultivate public awareness and interest in watercolor mediums through education, exhibitions, and organized events. AWA recently updated their bylaws and standing rules to embrace the evolving world of water media.
They now accept works created with transparent watercolor, gouache, ink, and acrylics. AWA offers a unique opportunity for artists to become Signature Members by having their paintings selected by six different jurors for membership exhibitions, granting them eligibility to teach a wide range of workshops involving various styles, techniques, and media. Join AWA for monthly meetings held on the second Thursday of each month from September to June.
These meetings provide a platform for networking with fellow artists, learning from live demonstrations, participating in art critiques, and engaging with the Arizona Watercolor Association community. To practice any art. So do it, as Kurt Vonnegut once said.
Become a part of AWA today and unlock a world of possibilities in the realm of watercolor art
