Balay Mindanaw Foundation Inc. (BMFI) is a non-profit organization based in Mindanao, Philippines. With a strong commitment to promoting equity-based development and sustainable peace, BMFI aims to transform Mindanao into a true home for all its people - Christians, Muslims, and indigenous Lumads.

Registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission in 1996, BMFI's mission is to help build empowered sustainable communities and peace in Mindanaw. BMFI's work encompasses various levels of intervention. At the barangay level, it engages in community organizing activities and facilitates partnerships for democratic participation in governance.

At the village level, BMFI focuses on strengthening community peace builders and advocates. It also contributes to the overall development of municipalities and provinces in Mindanao through partnerships and the incorporation of community development plans. BMFI actively participates in sub-regional and regional coalition-building efforts as well as national and international movements for development.

Notably, it acts as the mediator and independent secretariat for the peace process between the Government of the Philippines and the Revolutionary Workers' Party in Mindanao. With a diverse range of activities including community organizing, networking, education, and research, BMFI is dedicated to promoting equity, development, and peace in Mindanao. The organization's board of trustees consists of passionate individuals with expertise in Mindanao development, agrarian reform, and humanitarian law.
