About

Description

The Bay Area Climbers Coalition is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to preserve access to local outdoor areas in the Bay Area. They achieve this by actively fostering positive relationships with land managers, hosting stewardship events, and providing educational programming for the climbing community. Formed in 2013 and incorporated as a non-profit in 2014, the Coalition has made significant contributions to the climbing community.

They have organized hundreds of volunteers to clean up over a dozen Bay Area crags, removing thousands of pounds of trash and debris, clearing graffiti, and improving access trails. As the official partner of the Access Fund in the region, they are the primary point of contact for land managers regarding the climbing community. The Bay Area Climbers Coalition works to unite individuals and organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area who are dedicated to protecting and caring for local climbing resources.

This includes land managers, non-profit partners, local businesses such as climbing gyms and outdoor retail stores, outdoor brands, and most importantly, climbers themselves. Join their cause to help preserve and maintain the beauty and accessibility of the Bay Area's climbing areas
