About
Description
The British Columbia Conservation Foundation (BCCF) is a federally registered charity dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of British Columbia's ecosystems and species. Since its establishment in 1969, BCCF has been committed to contributing significantly to the perpetuation and expansion of fish and wildlife populations. Their mission is to promote and assist in the conservation of the province's fish and wildlife resources by protecting, acquiring, and enhancing populations and habitats.
BCCF manages projects on behalf of key stakeholders and reinvests funds into programs and initiatives that support these conservation endeavors. They work closely with partners and independently to undertake projects such as fish and wildlife habitat inventories, research, enhancement, restoration, resource stewardship, and environmental education. With a network of biologists and technicians, expertise in fundraising, and capabilities in partner building, BCCF brings people and resources together to achieve conservation success.
They provide quality and cost-effective services through strategic partnerships with all levels of government, industry, non-governmental organizations, private groups, educational institutions, and First Nations. Since 1986, BCCF has successfully implemented over 7000 conservation projects. Their experienced personnel manage projects through regional offices located in Kamloops, Surrey, and Lantzville, with the head office located in Cloverdale (Surrey).
