Betuwewind is a brand that focuses on sustainable wind energy in the Betuwe region. The windmills are partially owned by local residents through the Burgerwindcoöperatie Geldermalsen-Neerijnen. By investing both time and money, this cooperative has successfully created their first windpark in 2017, thanks to the support of 900 members.

This wind energy project offers three advantages: a solid financial investment with a sustainable and stable return, green energy generated locally, and reduced dependence on large energy companies. With their continued growth to 1200 members, Betuwewind has expanded to include a zonnepark, a voedselbos, and a duurzaamheidsfonds. Windenergie is clean, renewable, and we have an abundance of wind in the Betuwe region.
