Bound Together is a beloved brand that has been providing tutoring, friendship, and a sense of community to children and families in Pontiac, Michigan for the past 29 years. Founded in 1994 by parishioners at All Saints Episcopal Church, Bound Together became an independent non-profit organization in 1999. Working in close partnership with various churches, civic and government agencies, they offer tutoring, a hot evening meal, and enrichment programming in visual art, STEM, literacy, and physical fitness to up to 31 elementary and middle school students.

Their mission is to create a safe and diverse environment that fosters personal and academic excellence. Bound Together's dedicated volunteers and staff provide one-on-one tutoring on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In addition to academic support, the children are served a healthy snack, given down time, and provided with a hot meal before going home.

With over 75 volunteer opportunities each week, the program is supported by a diverse group of individuals from various backgrounds—professionals, educators, high school and medical school students, and more—who are committed to being present in the lives of the children. As they celebrate their 29th year, Bound Together continues to grow and adapt to meet the evolving needs of the children and their families. They are constantly exploring avenues to expand their programs and services, such as developing an elementary program, middle school STEM enrichment, and addressing the needs of high school students and ESL learners.

They believe in the strength of togetherness and invite volunteers to join them in their mission to provide a caring community for children in Pontiac.
