Description

Brimfield Public Library District, located in Brimfield, IL, has a rich history dating back to 1925. From its humble origins in a coat-check room, the library has grown and evolved to become a vital community resource center. In 1976, a dedicated group of volunteers and donors built a brick building on Knoxville Street and Galena Avenue, which served the residents for 25 years.

In 1995, the library board voted to become a district library, gaining its own authority over all aspects of the business. This decision led to an increase in the library's service population and paved the way for its continued success. With expanding needs, a renovation project was undertaken in 2001, resulting in a 4,200 sq.

In 2015, a new activity room was added, providing a versatile space for library programs and community events. Today, Brimfield Public Library District remains a progressive library while maintaining a home-town atmosphere and personalized customer service. With a collection of approximately 25,000 items and access to millions more through an online consortium, the library offers a wide range of materials and services to meet the informational, educational, and recreational needs of the community.

The library's beautiful facility, dedicated board, and staff make it a resource center that the entire community can be proud of
