Oasis Family Resource Center in Cadillac, MI is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1984. With a primary focus on providing shelter to survivors of domestic violence and their children, Oasis has since expanded to offer a comprehensive range of services. Alongside their shelter and counseling program, Oasis is the proud owner of Second Chance, a resale store.

In 1990, Oasis merged with the Family Resource Center, which provides parenting education and support in Wexford and Missaukee Counties. The agency has also expanded its services to include counseling for children and sexual assault survivors, as well as support for efforts to end homelessness. What sets Oasis apart is its commitment to an empowerment-based philosophy in its approach to ending domestic and sexual violence.

With a strong leadership team and dedicated board members, Oasis Family Resource Center is passionate about safeguarding and strengthening the families of Wexford and Missaukee counties. While grant funding plays a significant role in their budget, Oasis relies on events and fundraisers to provide services free of charge.
