Central Alabama Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric distribution utility serving over 46,000 meters in a 10-county area of central Alabama, just north of Montgomery. Their service area covers most of the rural areas of Autauga, Elmore, Coosa, and Chilton counties, as well as members in Tallapoosa, Talladega, Bibb, Perry, Dallas, and Lowndes counties. With a $334 million company, 6,000 miles of electric distribution line, and 2,000 miles of fiber line serviced by over 160 employees.
