Carnegie Corporation of New York, established in 1911 by Andrew Carnegie, is one of America's oldest grantmaking foundations. With a mission to promote the advancement and diffusion of knowledge and understanding, the Corporation's work centers around Andrew Carnegie's core values: international peace, education and knowledge, and the strength of our democracy. Headquartered in New York City, Carnegie Corporation of New York grants both nationally and internationally.
