About

Description

Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge is a renowned brand dedicated to wildlife preservation, environmental education, and wildlife rehabilitation. Founded in 1957 by Jim and Betty Woodford, who fell in love with the beauty of the NJ Pinelands, the refuge spans over 185 acres of land. Over the course of 40 years, Betty and Jim devoted their lives to preserving the Pinelands, educating others about its flora and fauna, and rehabilitating wildlife.

Today, their work is carried on by the staff, board members, and their daughter, Jeanne, who is the co-founder of Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge. Visitors can explore the Wildlife Housing Area, where injured animals that cannot be returned to the wild reside. The Nature Center and Education Department offer engaging programs for all ages, and there are hiking trails that allow visitors to explore the native Pinelands habitats.
