Welcome to CHCACT, the Community Health Center Association of Connecticut! Founded in 1989, CHCACT is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening and supporting the clinical and administrative operations of community health centers across Connecticut. Our mission is to advance and align the work of health centers in order to improve the health and wellness of all individuals. We achieve this through three primary areas of services: advocacy, program administration, and training & technical assistance.

Through advocacy, CHCACT represents the interests of member health centers, advocating for issues that impact their ability to provide high-quality, comprehensive healthcare to the people of Connecticut. We actively participate in health policy discussions and work with key advisory councils to improve access and outcomes. In addition, CHCACT receives and administers grants to fund various programs and services at health centers, including case management for HIV/AIDS, outreach and enrollment for HUSKY/Medicaid, and quality improvement programs.

Lastly, we offer comprehensive training and technical assistance to support all aspects of health center operations. From clinical training to HR and finance, our goal is to ensure that health centers have the necessary resources and knowledge to provide exceptional care. At CHCACT, we strive to help health centers do what they do best – deliver high-quality healthcare to all individuals.
