Cinefemme, a 501-(c)(3) organization, was founded in 2003 by women filmmakers to support women-identified filmmakers and their artistic projects. Over the years, Cinefemme has played a crucial role in producing nearly 60 independent feature films, shorts, film festivals, and other activist initiatives. Their aim is to uplift marginalized and vulnerable artists in society, including women-identified, BIPOC, LBGTQ+, disabled individuals, and mothers.

Cinefemme offers various programs such as networking opportunities, mentorship, pipeline initiatives, festivals, and strategies for career advancement for key creatives and department heads both on and off screen. They also provide sponsorship opportunities for qualifying donations, which may be tax-deductible. Cinefemme's mission is to connect, amplify, and elevate underrepresented voices in the film industry by providing essential resources and a supportive community.
