CIWA, the Calgary Immigrant Women's Association, is a non-profit organization that has been empowering immigrant and refugee women in Canada since 1982. As a culturally diverse settlement agency, CIWA recognizes and responds to the unique concerns and needs of immigrant women, girls, and their families. Their mission is to be a national leader in transitioning immigrant women to success in Canada through their holistic approach.

CIWA offers over 50 programs and services that focus on settlement and integration, literacy and language training, employment support and bridging programs, family violence, parenting, individual counseling, health, housing, and community development. They ensure that all clients have access to childcare and first language support during group sessions and individual appointments. With partnerships with over 230 businesses/employers and services offered in 37 languages, CIWA is committed to supporting immigrant women in gaining access to employment opportunities.
