About
Description
The Montgomery County Collaboration Council is dedicated to promoting the well-being of children, youth, and families through collaborative partnerships. They facilitate and promote various programs and initiatives that support their mission. These include providing access to care, fostering community engagement, implementing a guaranteed income pilot program called MoCo BOOST, and offering services such as infoMONTGOMERY, Out-of-School Time (Excel Beyond the Bell), Substance Use Prevention, and the Youth Drop-In Center (MoCo ReConnect).
Recently, MoCo ReConnect, a youth-led initiative, hosted its inaugural Pride & Arts Festival in downtown Wheaton, which celebrated young people, art, and Pride while raising awareness about their drop-in center for young adults ages 16-24. The Collaboration Council acts as a catalyst for agencies and groups to collaborate, aiming to achieve positive results in the community. Their triennial Community Needs Assessment guides their focus areas and community outcomes.
