ConnectHER is a brand that is dedicated to inspiring global change through women's stories and projects. At ConnectHER, our vision is a world where women and girls are not just seen and heard, but also encouraged to reach their full potential. To achieve this, we invest in women and girls by elevating their status through various projects, stories, and films.

One way we accomplish this is by supporting women-led, locally run projects that advance women and girls globally. Through our project partners, we provide support to organizations that are making a real difference in the lives of women and girls. Additionally, we host an annual ConnectHer Film Festival, where we showcase student-made films that address critical women's issues.

This platform allows these important narratives to be shared and heard by a wider audience. Furthermore, we empower youth to tell stories through film about global women's issues and encourage them to become agents of change. By harnessing the power of storytelling and activism, we aim to catalyze meaningful change in the world.

ConnectHER was founded on the belief that stories have the power to inspire action. Our founder, Lila Igram, recognized the need for more diverse and representative voices in the media, and was inspired by the story of Edna Adan, a Somali nurse midwife. This experience led to the creation of ConnectHER in 2011.

In the past decade, we have become a powerful platform that supports projects and stories around the world. We have raised $500,000 for 40 female-founded, locally-led organizations in 20 countries. These organizations work on a wide range of issues, including maternal health, education, economic independence, and ending gender-based violence.
