The company has a rich history dating back to 1992 when Ed Cranisky, the former food and beverage manager at Walt Disney World, and his chef and partner Patrice Shuback purchased the company that produced the dressings they used in their Merritt Island restaurant, Pleasurable Edibles.

Originally founded in 1976 by Chef Paul Wolf in Altamonte Springs, Florida, the business eventually relocated to Volusia County in the 1980s. Chef Wolf's vision was to create unique, fresh, high-quality dressings that customers would be proud to serve. After Chef Wolf's passing, Ed Cranisky, a devoted user of the dressings, decided to acquire the company and relocate it to Rockledge, Florida.

The company underwent a rebranding in 1997, adopting the name BELLA SALATA Specialty Dressings and Sauces, while maintaining the quality and integrity of the original Chef Wolf formulas.
