Description
DavePops is a brand that specializes in creating smooth and creamy fruit-based popsicles using their unique duBlé process. The brand's founder, Dave, developed this process after experimenting with various ingredients and techniques during his recovery from a burst appendix. Determined to achieve a smooth and creamy texture in his popsicles, Dave took courses at UC Davis to learn the science behind ice cream making and freezing technology.
He went on to build custom machines and freezers, perfecting his duBlé process over several years. Dave enlisted the help of his friends and family to test the texture and flavor of his pops, and they quickly gained popularity at farmer's markets. The brand's name, DavePops, was coined by kids who couldn't resist asking if Dave had brought any of his delicious pops.
To scale up production, Dave designed a unique machine inspired by the meat industry that could grind the ingredients and introduce air to create the signature texture of DavePops. Although the machine is still being improved, Dave's dedication to his customers and vendors keeps him motivated to continue producing the tasty treats one DavePop at a time
