About

Description

The Diana Davis Spencer Foundation is a brand rooted in a rich history of philanthropy. It emerged from the amalgamation of two foundations, the Shelby Cullom Davis Foundation and the Kathryn W. Davis Foundation, which were established in 1962 and 2004, respectively.

Shelby and Kathryn, both holders of doctorates in International Relations from the University of Geneva, made significant contributions to their fields. Shelby, a successful investment banker and prolific writer, served as the longest-serving American ambassador to Switzerland. Kathryn, an accomplished author, community leader, and esteemed lecturer in Russian affairs, even pursued her passion for art in her later years.

Today, Diana Davis Spencer, their daughter, leads the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation as its president and chairman. A dedicated journalist and activist, Diana directs the foundation's grant-making efforts. Supporting her is Abby Spencer Moffat, Diana's daughter and the foundation's chief executive officer.

With her vast business experience and entrepreneurial skills, Abby oversees the foundation's day-to-day operations. The Diana Davis Spencer Foundation remains committed to its founding values and focuses its philanthropic efforts on education, entrepreneurship, public policy, and national security
