ETH Roger Waller and his team. Initially located in Weisslingen and later in Räterschen (Elsau), the company found a suitable partner in Hug Engineering, a specialized firm in exhaust gas cleaning systems. However, in 2006, DLM AG acquired the shares of Hug Engineering, expanded its operations, and moved to Winterthur.

The brand also rented the locomotive depot and carriage hall in Schaffhausen. DLM AG has expertise in engineering, designing, and constructing new steam locomotives, as well as providing maintenance, revision, and modernization services. With a passion for steam locomotives, Roger Waller's vision of creating modern steam traction became a reality.

Despite skepticism initially, DLM AG's commitment to advancing steam technology has resulted in the successful development of new and innovative steam locomotives.
