Drake Music Scotland is Scotland's leading arts organization that creates music making opportunities for individuals with disabilities and additional support needs. With a focus on inclusive music technology and specialized teaching methods, we provide individuals of all ages and a wide range of disabilities with the tools to play, learn, and compose music independently. Our organization originated from the Drake Research Project founded by Adele Drake in England in 1988.

In 1997, Drake Music Scotland became a separate charitable organization (Registered Scottish Charity No. SC026908). Over the years, we have successfully collaborated with over 13,000 children and adults across Scotland, making significant contributions to their musical journeys.

Notable achievements include establishing Scotland's first disabled youth orchestra, the Digital Orchestra, in 2016, and our flagship education program for special and mainstream schools called All Join In. We also take pride in our acclaimed training and CPD program, cutting-edge developments in technology, and the introduction of Figurenotes.
