The Dupont Circle Business Improvement District (BID) was established in 2018 as a nonprofit organization with the goal of elevating this iconic neighborhood. Through public space management, strategic marketing, and economic development initiatives, the BID aims to enhance the overall experience for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.

With exciting plans for a new plaza and streetscape improvements along Connecticut Avenue NW, the BID is primed to revitalize the area with increased cleaning services, brand management, and a wide range of events. Covering approximately 11 blocks in the commercial district, including Dupont Circle, P Street NW, Massachusetts Avenue, and Connecticut Avenue, the BID's services are financed through a self-imposed assessment on commercial property owners within its boundaries. In collaboration with Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets, the BID's Clean Team ensures that sidewalks and curbs are consistently clean and well-maintained.

They undertake cleaning, power washing, beautification, and landscaping projects to enhance the public realm. With a strong focus on marketing and branding, the BID endeavors to increase visibility and attract more visitors, tourists, potential residents, and investors to Dupont Circle. Through targeted partnerships, media outreach, and comprehensive communications, they seek to highlight the neighborhood's unique offerings.
