Ecosan Services Foundation (ESF) is a non-profit company established in 2006 with the aim to promote ecological and sustainable sanitation practices in India. With the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and in association with the Innovative Ecological Sanitation Network of India (IESNI), ESF works closely with both the public and private sectors. Over the years, ESF has gained extensive experience in capacity development, policy building, awareness raising, project implementation, and consulting in the sustainable sanitation field in South Asia.

ESF is renowned for its innovative training programs on sustainable sanitation and water management. These programs follow a participatory and interdisciplinary approach, addressing the entire water and nutrient cycle. ESF has successfully conducted over 30 training courses and participatory workshops for various stakeholders, including government officials, entrepreneurs, NGO members, and school children.

Based in Pune, Maharashtra, ESF also offers consulting services in water-wastewater technology and has designed tailor-made sustainable sanitation models for schools across the country.
