About
Description
The Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL) is a not-for-profit organization that has been supporting the City of Edmonton's Community Leagues since 1921. As an umbrella group, the EFCL brings together all Community Leagues and holds three general meetings per year, where each league can vote on important matters that shape the direction of the EFCL. The EFCL is governed by a 12-member volunteer board, with each district electing a representative to serve on the board.
Community Leagues are independent and self-governing organizations, and the EFCL works to support them rather than dictate their actions. The EFCL is non-partisan and not affiliated with any religion or political party. The vision of the EFCL is to have vibrant Community Leagues that contribute to a vibrant city.
Their mission is to engage, develop, and connect Edmonton Community Leagues in building healthy neighborhoods. To achieve this, the EFCL focuses on championing Community Leagues, advocating for their interests, broadening their reach and diversity, building effective operations, and supporting league leadership and capacity. For more information, you can visit the EFCL office located at the Jerry Forbes Centre or contact them via phone.
