For example, when holding fundraising broadcast events, selected applicants whose videos are chosen for broadcast will receive a percentage of the proceeds raised. The name Emergent Seed represents their focus on supporting emerging artists with seed funding and short video performances. They are looking for original work in four creative categories: Music - Songs or Instrumental, and Writing - Poetry and Storytelling.

Applicants must submit a 2-5 minute video of their performance, with a natural ending. Grant options include the Virtual Gig grant of $150 for previously published/produced work and the Winner grant of $500 for unpublished/unproduced work, which also includes mentorship, recording in a professional music studio, and participation in a 20% royalty pool.
