The Endangered Ecosystems Alliance (EEA) is a charitable conservation organization working tirelessly to promote ecosystem literacy and support the science-based protection of Canada's native ecosystems. Our mission is to advocate for the safeguarding of at least 50% of Canada's terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems by 2030. With a team of dedicated staff, board of directors, and science advisors, we are committed to addressing both the extinction crisis and the climate crisis by greatly scaling up the protection and restoration of native ecosystems.

Working primarily at a federal level, we also collaborate with local and regional campaigns across provinces and territories. We actively engage non-traditional allies, including businesses, unions, faith groups, and multicultural organizations, to expand the conservation movement's reach. We recognize the value of Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCA's) and work closely with First Nations organizations to support and arrange community-based financing for such protected areas.

Through our efforts in science and policy research, public education, news and social media outreach, as well as major public mobilizations, we aim to create a lasting impact. Ultimately, we strive for the establishment of a federal Endangered Ecosystems Act, ensuring the protection of all native and endangered ecosystems based on conservation biology principles and traditional ecological knowledge.
