The Family Annex is a renowned nursery school located on West 113th Street and Broadway in New York. Established in 1982, it operates as an independent, not-for-profit, and nonsectarian early childhood school. At the Family Annex, we embrace and welcome families from different racial, religious, and cultural backgrounds, creating a diverse and inclusive community.

Our mission is to create an environment that nurtures and celebrates individuality, fostering self-confidence, independence, and creativity. We pride ourselves on our Reggio Emilia philosophy and curriculum, which allows children to explore their unique interests collaboratively with dedicated and experienced teachers. Our teachers, almost all of whom have Master's degrees or are working towards them, have extensive experience working with children.

The Family Annex offers classes for toddlers, nursery, and pre-K children, with small class sizes to ensure personalized attention. We also have a comprehensive team of professional teachers and collaborations with Columbia University for additional resources and oversight. With an academic year running from September to July, we are committed to providing an affordable and quality education for children.
